Travel Protection Program
Peace of mind. It is something that makes your cruise more pleasurable and relaxing. And something for which our Travel Protection Program was specifically created. We offer a wide range of travel insurance protection and assistance services for Oceania Cruises' discerning guests at affordable rates. For example, if you have an accident overseas that Medicare and other private insurance policies don't cover, our exclusive program provides medical expense reimbursement. Additionally, reimbursements are provided for penalties that may be assessed due to cruise cancellations for covered reasons.
Trip Cancellation & Interruption Protection: Provides coverage for non-refundable cancellation or interruption charges for losses caused by a covered medical condition of either the insured guest, an immediate family member or a travel companion. The plan will reimburse up to the total cost of the cruise (up to $50,000.)
$25,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment
$500 Travel Delay: Covers additional accommodation and out-of-pocket travel expenses incurred as a result of a covered delay of more than 12 hours.
$1,500 Baggage Protection: Reimburses if a guest's baggage is stolen, lost or damaged during their vacation, up to $1,500. If bags are delayed for 24 hours or more, the plan reimburses up to $500 for the purchase of necessary personal effects.
$10,000 Medical Protection: Provides reimbursement of medical expenses incurred as a result of a covered accident or sickness during the cruise.
$25,000 Emergency Evacuation: Provides arranged and prepaid emergency medical transportation services to the nearest qualified medical facility in the event of a guest's medical emergency.
Worldwide Assistance Services: Wherever you may be in the world, this service provides emergency assistance for a wide variety of circumstances, including making cash transfers; medical consulting and monitoring; assistance with lost documents; legal, dental and medical referrals to physicians or hospitals; and emergency medical payment assistance overseas, to name a few. All services are provided by AIG Assist.
How to Enroll in the Program: It is really very simple and convenient. The cost of the program will be automatically included in your final invoice. Payment for this program cannot be accepted after final trip payment or commencement of the penalty period.
To purchase the Oceania Cruises Travel Protection Program, all you need to do is pay for the plan cost with your final payment. The Trip Cancellation provisions take effect upon receipt of payment. All other provisions take effect upon the departure date.
